Hotel NCB

Being vegetarian in Japan, I find it really hard to locate restaurants and hotels that can provide vegetarian meals. This hotel arranged meals for me, even though I was the only vegetarian in a party of more than 150 people. I really appreciated it. Thank you again!

The noise and the room access issue made this a stay I can't recommend. The walls were paper-thin, and hard pillows made it difficult to sleep. At 5:30, an alarm in the next room woke me and kept going for over ten minutes with the snooze. Around 6 AM, a middle school baseball team made a lot of noise outside my room and kept me awake. Then at 7, a customer with luggage and a child opened my door with his key card. I asked reception how that could happen and was told the keys open every door. Is it really that easy to get into any room? I requested a refund for one night, and they granted it. There were other problems too. The Japanese-style pillows, with plastic grains inside, are flat and feel hard to me, so I asked if I could get a softer, taller one. The staff member brought an identical pillow, let it touch the floor while putting it in the pillowcase, and, when I pointed that out, just slapped it with his hands instead of changing the case. The Wi-Fi signal was very weak in the evening, so I couldn't use it. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

The location and view were very good, and the rooms were clean and sanitized. Staff were polite. On the downside, the walls don't block sound, there are no drawers or wardrobe, and there isn't a phone charging point near the bed or table.

The simplified service gave it an eco-friendly feel, and I was comfortable in the clean interior.
