The exterior looked a bit dated, and the locks were old-fashioned, but my room was clean and fresh. I slept well on both nights of my two-night sightseeing stay in Iida City. The other guests seemed friendly, too. Wi-Fi was weak, and there was no electric kettle, which were the only drawbacks. The station is close by, which was convenient. I’d gladly stay here again if I return to Iida City. Thank you very much (⌒‐⌒).

Coming from a remote part of Kyushu, I arrived in the middle of the night and discovered the internet cafe I’d expected near Iida Station had closed. Several places turned me away before I finally called here, and they kindly took me in, which was a huge relief. The building and its fixtures honestly looked pretty scary in places, but inside, the bathroom was clean and comfortable. I couldn’t figure out the heating, though, so I spent the night shivering lol. The owner’s kindness really helped. I’d like to stay again. Thank you.

The room was comfortable, and even the smoking room didn’t smell. The hotel is right by the station, as the map shows. There’s no water heater in the room, just a thermos of hot water, though you can refill it at the dispenser beside the first-floor front desk. The microwave is by the entrance. I couldn’t find a cleaning-free tag in the room. The underground parking has a narrow entrance and a height limit, so drivers who aren’t confident may want directions to a nearby lot. I booked through Rakuten with a pay-at-hotel plan, then noticed later that my points hadn’t been deducted. The parking charge was ¥550 per night, although Rakuten listed ¥330. There were so many mismatches in the information that I felt overwhelmed and ripped off.

The spacious rooms gave the hotel an open, airy feel, and it’s close to the station with plenty of restaurants nearby. I arrived for a late-night check-in and the front desk staff were so kind. They gave me clear directions to a nearby parking lot, too. The blue towels in the room oddly made me excited. Colored towels just make me happy! Next time I’m in Iida, I’d love to return, perhaps earlier so I can eat at one of the local restaurants. Thanks!

For anyone taking a train or express bus, the station is nearby, and there are many late-night restaurants around. The closest convenience store is about a five-minute walk. I was here on a business trip. The building is old, though my renovated room and bathroom were clean. The washlet and shower pressure were weak, but hot water came through quickly. The central air-conditioning dial was powerful even at its lowest setting. A microwave and coin laundry are by the front desk, but I didn’t see a breakfast area. Underground parking fits around five cars, though parking or pulling out a vehicle larger than a minivan can be tricky. There’s also an affiliated lot nearby, about 200 yen more than the underground one.
