Mon Aile Madarao

Really good meals, generous portions, and excellent service, all at a good price. The restaurant feels relaxed rather than pretentious.

It can be hard to find a table in high season, but this restaurant is large enough that we managed to get one. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. I’d recommend the Hot Pot and the Nepalese curry set.

The location made winter activities easy for us, with ski slopes and snowy scenery close by and a shuttle to nearby resorts. After skiing, we enjoyed a massage and a soak in the hot tub at the spa and wellness center. It was a lovely way to unwind. Our room was spacious and nicely designed, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. The hotel mixes modern style with a cozy feel, and the lobby’s decor and calm atmosphere made a nice first impression. We felt looked after throughout our winter stay at Monaile Hotel. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and ready to help whenever we had a question or request. From arrival to departure, the service was impeccable, and the whole visit was memorable. We’d happily recommend it for a winter getaway and hope to return.

The rooms were spacious and nice, and the front desk staff were kind and explained all the services in detail. It’s about a two-minute walk to the ski resort. Being able to use the onsen at Madarao Kogen Hotel during or after our stay was a real plus after skiing. The one downside was that breakfast and dinner were buffets at Madarao Kogen Hotel, which I assume was because of corona, so we had to take a shuttle.
