Even after three other trips to Japan, this was one of our best experiences there, and our favorite stay in Kyushu. The place felt special and authentic. Takuya was incredibly kind and helped us with everything, including picking us up at the ferry port and giving us a private room for free. Thanks for all of it, Takuya. Warm greetings from Italy!

Guesthouse Wasabi is beautiful and comfortable, especially for such a low price. The host is kind and helpful, and can bring you over from the port if you ask. If you're staying on Iki, I'd definitely recommend it.

The beds were really comfortable, and the whole place is lovely, with everything thoughtfully planned. I spent three nights at Guesthouse Wasabi in May. Its creaky floors and authentic Japanese feel made it seem almost magical. The host was so helpful and kind. When bad weather canceled the ferry from Izuhara, he took me and another girl to the other port. Iki's beautiful nature is all around, and being able to hire a motorbike right at the guesthouse is great. I hope I can come back someday!

I had a car incident during the trip, and the owner gave me a lot of help and support when I needed it. I really appreciate his kindness. The hostel's design feels warm and homey. It's a little far from the port, but easy enough to reach by bike or car. The owner can also help with transport from the port, and you can rent a bike at the hostel.

The location up on a hill is beautiful, with a great view over a bay. I stayed at the wasabi guest house for two nights and absolutely loved it. It's a comfortable old Japanese house, full of character, including an elaborate collection of vintage consoles. The place also has e-bikes for exploring the island, which I definitely recommend. The owner is super polite and does his best to help wherever he can.
