Iki Daiichi Hotel

If you're watching your budget, this hotel is a good choice. I stayed two weekend nights for around 11,000 yen, which was incredibly cheap. The building is old, and the keys and system feel old-fashioned, but restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance, so it's quite convenient.

This local business hotel has clean rooms, simple facilities, and very reasonable prices. There's no dinner, but breakfast has a generous menu with gentle flavors, prepared by a local woman. The dried fish was especially delicious. I also appreciated the staff member who checked whether I'd like more tea or rice. At check-in, they asked what time I wanted breakfast, then served the fish freshly grilled to fit my schedule.

The facilities are old and the receptionist isn't especially friendly, but the price is reasonable. They provide a toothbrush, razor, hairdryer, and air freshener, and the room has a unit bathroom. Breakfast was average. The woman who prepares it, though, is kind and pleasant. The location is good too, within walking distance of government offices, Gonoura Port, Iki Island Hall, and the bar district.

From the outside, the hotel looks quite old, though the inside isn't too bad. Some of the construction is odd, like the toilet door hitting the toilet bowl. The reasonable price is a big plus, though.
