The service left me very disappointed. When I raised the problems with my room, the staff were unhelpful and seemed focused on making me either accept it or pay extra, rather than sorting things out. I'd asked for a non-smoking room, but was put in a very dirty, smelly smoking room. Changing to one that was only a little better would have cost another 10,000 yen per night. That room was still dark and unclean, with dirt on the lamp and other surfaces. My stay at Hotel Livemax was an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend it.

It's easy to get around on foot, with the station and some good local restaurants close by. The rooms are a nice size for Japan, but there's no daily room cleaning service or free breakfast. Cigarette smell was noticeable everywhere.

At 5,000 yen on a weekday, it was fine for a single night. The room wasn't spacious, but it did the job, and breakfast was included for free. I wouldn't pick this place for a sightseeing stay.

Staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. It's a good pick for a short stay in hiratsuka. Weekday prices are very cheap, though they double on the weekend.
