On our first day, we were welcomed with such thoughtful hospitality. Iseji Hotel helped arrange for Yamato to send our luggage on to our next accommodation and gave us all the maps for the Kumano Kodo Iseji Route. We’d happily recommend it and would stay again if we return to Iseji City.

The breakfast was outstanding, and at about 900¥ it was the best value for quality meal I’ve had during my three months in Japan. The hotel is affordable and delivers what it promises. Some parts felt dated, but the customer service was genuinely top quality.

The staff and location were the only things I liked. The doors don’t lock automatically, or even close on their own, so people let them slam around the clock. I’ve never booked a louder hotel, and I couldn’t sleep. I wanted to leave within the first hour but stayed, though the door situation also left me worried about security.

I keep choosing this place for short stays in central Ise City. The location is convenient, the service is good, and the breakfast is delicious.

The steak was high quality, though I should’ve ordered it differently than medium. The corn soup was amazing.
