Princess Garden Hotel

The hotel feels old and needs better cleaning and maintenance. My check-in was uncomfortable because the front desk staff seemed unmotivated and weren’t very welcoming. With staff training and some renovation, this place could improve a lot. For now, I’d consider other options before booking.

The location made it easy to get around, but don’t expect proper service. I understand that the hotel can refuse a request if its policies and rules don’t allow it. What I don’t understand is why a front desk employee had to tell us the police would be called “if you dont come on time to take your luggage back.” Why assume we wouldn’t come? We had all our important belongings in those bags. I felt the man at the desk forgot what his role was, and I hope he reflects on that ugly attitude as a service provider.

Very clean room, and the location is great. There’s a good public bath in the hotel too.

The hotel is right in the heart of Nagoya, and the room was huge compared with other places I’ve stayed at. It was well equipped, and I enjoyed my stay, even though the hotel is quite old and could use modernization. The weak soundproofing was a problem, though. Street noise came through very clearly.
