The bath tub was a great way to relax after a long day, and the bathroom didn’t feel cramped. The 711 downstairs was really handy, too. It’s close to nagoya station and the meeting points for our tours. 100% recommend!

We stayed for two nights in November 2025 before heading to another city in Japan. The rooms were clean and a reasonable size, and the location near the train station was convenient. The staff were friendly and spoke English. My only issue was that the room was set up with amenities for one person, even though there were two of us checking in. It only had one set of towels, drinking water, and pillows.

The main reason I’m giving this hotel three stars for service is what happened with our room change. We had booked four nights in two room types, first two nights in a moderate double, then two nights in a corner double that was 2 sqm bigger. At check-in, one staff member told us one of us could come down, change the keys, and move to the bigger room, and said it would be ready by noon. We checked again the day before and were told something different by a man with glasses, who seemed to be in his late forties. He loudly said we had to bring our things to the lobby at 11 AM and wait until 2 PM, even though the new room was just one door away on the same floor. We politely said we’d been told the change would be seamless, but he again raised his voice and said that wasn’t right. I asked whether we could just stay in the current room instead. He said it was only an extra 2 sqm, everything else was the same, and they couldn’t refund the downgrade, but he’d have to check with the person in charge to see whether we could stay. I laughed because he’d been acting like the boss in front of his colleagues, then said he needed to ask someone else. I raised my voice a little and told him he was making things inconvenient. We’d planned our outside meetings around what we were told on the first day, and now the instructions had changed and nobody could confirm the other option. In the end, we said never mind, cancelled our morning meetings, and planned to take our luggage down the next day before the other meetings. At about 8 AM on transfer day, I went out to buy breakfast and saw the corner room clean, open, and vacant. The hotel was clean and felt modern. The rooms were bigger than at most budget hotels, though the mini fridge had no freezer, so a small tub of ice cream wouldn’t fit. The lobby staff were very nice except for that one man, and the cleaners were well groomed. The location was convenient: a 5-6 minute walk to the Shinkansen side of Nagoya Station, 8 minutes to Meitetsu bus terminal, and 4 minutes to an entrance to the ESCA underground mall. There’s a Vietnamese restaurant on the ground floor and a 7-11. On this Japan trip, we also stayed at APA Nippori in Tokyo, where we usually stay but may avoid next time due to a black mold issue, and Sotetsu Fresa inn Nagoya station Shinkansen Entrance.

We had a pleasant two-night stay, and the hotel put us on its highest floor as requested. Even next to the main road, it wasn’t too noisy, though we could hear ambulances passing. Our queen room was clean and a reasonable size, if a bit small, with space for our luggage. The toilet and bathroom were separated by a glass door, and the room had a full set of amenities. Anything missing could be picked up for free at reception. Nagoya JR station was about an 8-10 minute walk. There’s a 7-11 right by the hotel entrance and a Lawson on the next street, about 3-5 minutes away, so it’s easy to find something to buy or eat at night. We skipped the meal package, but there were plenty of restaurants around the hotel and Nagoya station.
