The staff were among the friendliest I’ve met, and Katsu even drove us around to see nearby beaches. That trip was a lot of fun, thanks, Katsu! You can also rent bikes and snorkeling gear right at the accommodation, and the nicest beaches are only 5-10 minutes away by bike. There are plenty of hammocks to relax in, plus a rooftop for stargazing. It’s a really nice place to stay in Ishigaki, with beaches nearby and some lovely little restaurants. They’ve created a special spot here, and I’d definitely come back if I’m in Ishigaki again.

A lovely place to stay in the north of Ishigaki, with plenty of beautiful spots to explore nearby. The guest house has everything working well, plus a peaceful garden and a shared space called UNTAKU where guests can meet. The staff are friendly too. Thanks so much, I had a really comfortable stay!

The location is peaceful and beautiful, and the staff were so kind and helpful that I didn’t want to leave. The guesthouse is thoughtfully designed, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. It also has great facilities: a shared kitchen and living areas, laundry room, free bikes, and snorkelling gear available to rent.

Iriwa is in a beautiful, quiet part of Kabira, and the dorms I tried were neat. The problem was the noise. There doesn’t seem to be a quiet-hours procedure, and people were making noise at 1:30 AM and 5:45 AM. That’s not okay. Katsu was proactive and incredibly helpful. He went out of his way for me, even driving me to see some beaches and go shopping. I really appreciated it.

We had a fantastic week, and the people working here were kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The location is amazing. Taking the bikes to Yonehara beach or the Blue Cave is a must. They offer free bikes, a rental car, free snorkeling goggles if you clean them afterward, and extra towels for 100 yen.
