The things for our dog were all there, and my five-year-old was thrilled with the cutlery, meals, and especially the ice cream. Toiletries, bear slippers, and pajamas were provided, and the karuta, cards, and kendama made things fun for the kids. We liked the attentive but low-key service, and parking was easy. You can watch Netflix and other content on the screen, too. The meal upgrade was worth it: the spiny lobster and turban shells were delicious. I barely drank any beer from the server, though it was included in the price. The bath was roomy, while the basic sauna was just okay. My wife and I both wanted the massage chair. Breakfast was steamed salmon and vegetables that you heat up yourself. We’d been very happy with Ruufu Sho no Ie in Yamanashi last year, so this time we picked Naminoya. I arrived a little early, and they let me in once they’d finished getting things ready. Check-in and check-out were done on an iPad. It’s an old house, so it felt a bit chilly in November, though the bedroom was warm with the air conditioning. Bugs were a small annoyance. The train and main road traffic might bother families like ours who turn in early. I may simply have missed it, but a leash hook in the dining area would be useful. For a five-year-old, the toys were a hit. I’d definitely go back to Ruufu. Thank you.
We were a little uneasy about our dog wandering freely in the garden because the train tracks are nearby. Apart from that, the stay was really comfortable, and for someone like me who dislikes insects, having no bugs around was a huge plus. We’ve had bad experiences with insects at similar places before. Our dog supplies were already laid out, from pee pads and bowls to wipes, a bin, and even diapers. We only needed to bring food, which made packing much easier. The room was bigger than expected, so the dog had space to move and the family could properly relax. Dinner cooked on the teppan was amazing. We were especially surprised by how sweet and tasty the vegetables were, and the ingredients and cooking impressed us all. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the wood-fired sauna was a fun experience. It was tricky to manage the heat, and sometimes we could smell smoke, but we enjoyed that as part of the natural feel. The staff were thoughtful, and the facilities were great. I’d recommend it for a family trip with a pet, and we want to return with our dog.
Even in winter, "Nami no Ie" is a lovely place to visit. We came with a friend and our dog, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. Our dog had plenty of room to run around inside. It looks like an old farmhouse from outside, but the renovated interior is stylish and has a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the bonfire, tent sauna, and home theater. For dinner, they cooked teppanyaki to the doneness we wanted, then we stretched out on the tatami afterward. A very relaxing stay.
They made our anniversary surprise feel special and really attentive, which made the stay memorable. The renovated building still has a charming traditional character and was clean and lovely. We watched the teppanyaki cooked in front of us, and everything was delicious, including the rice made in an earthenware pot. Thank you!
On our first family trip with our baby, who was 0 years old, we enjoyed the sauna and bonfire, then watched movies and relaxed in the room. The atmosphere was lovely and comfortable. The staff were friendly, too. When I mentioned at dinner that we had no plans for the second day, they wrote down some nearby places they recommended and gave us the note. We came away with more happy memories. Thank you.
