Izu Kogen Hotel Five Stars

A comfortable place with a nice atmosphere. It’s great for relaxing and getting away from the city, and the staff can speak English.

Both dinner and breakfast were superb 😋😋😋!!

It was fantastic, to put it mildly. Sitting on the terrace with tea and birdsong felt like such a luxury, and I’d love to stay for several nights. The inn offers a shuttle to Izu Kogen Station. Walking from the station is a little uphill, and coming back is downhill. Mt. Omuro is about 2km away according to Google Maps, downhill and pleasant on foot, though it’s a longer drive by car. I bought the inn’s original aroma oil, and it smelled wonderful.

The staff made a lovely impression from greeting us through to the end, always smiling and courteous. The grounds were large and carefully maintained, and although the interiors weren’t new, they were very clean. With only a small number of guest rooms, the atmosphere stayed calm and relaxed. We were with our children, so couldn’t fully unwind this time, but we’d like to return when they’re a bit older. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed a quiet soak in both the large public bath and the open-air bath. It felt luxurious and helped ease our everyday fatigue. Dinner included golden-eyed snapper shabu-shabu and sashimi. It was different from the usual simmered preparation, but the ingredients tasted fresh and the meal was delicious. Breakfast was plentiful and filling. They also gave our family a large hall so we could eat without worrying. We stayed for two days and one night at this five-star hotel in Izukogen, and would happily visit again.
