The hotel lends bikes for free, which is handy for riding to the castle and garden. The garden beside the castle is quite good, and I recommend seeing it in both daylight and at night. The hotel is also within walking distance of the JR station.

The shower curtain had an unpleasant odor. Also, you have to hand in your room card every time you go out. On the plus side, it’s within walking distance of okayama station, with lots of malls nearby. There’s a 24/7 front desk, some staff speak English, and housekeeping is done daily.

Good value and really convenient, close to the station and the mall. There are small restaurants nearby, and they’re good.

The room and walls aren't soundproof, so you can hear people talking in the other rooms. It wasn't a problem for us, and the hotel provides earplugs, though they don't block all the sound. The location is great for shopping, close to Aeon mall and Don Quijote, and the front desk is open 24 hours.

The staff are lovely and the location is great, which is why I gave it two stars. I’ve just checked in and am disappointed, though. The room is tiny, which I can understand somewhat at this price, but the cleanliness, the smell from the air conditioner, and the rock-hard bed are major letdowns.
