The veranda’s open-air bath had a fantastic view. It wasn’t sunny, but the nightingales were singing all around, and I really enjoyed soaking there. The room had antique furniture that made me feel as if I were abroad. I’d found the hotel while looking for a place in Izu with rooms that have private open-air baths. My wife doesn’t eat raw food, so we booked a room-only stay; if meal requests were possible, I’d have liked to enjoy the food too. The concierge was very helpful, the welcome drink was delicious, and it was lovely to spend time with the hotel’s resident cat. 🥰
