Le Nessa Jyogasaki

The location takes some planning. The nearest stop is runessajogasaki, about a 12-minute walk away, and buses toward izu kogen station and jogasaki coast are limited. For example, on Saturdays the last bus back from jogasaki coast is at 5 pm. The hotel can pick you up from or drop you at izu kogen station if you contact them ahead of time. There's a large car park too. Shops and convenience stores are mostly by izu kogen station, so it's best to drive or buy what you need before arriving. Dinner, around 4,000 yen per person, and breakfast, around 1,700 yen, need to be booked in advance. There are drink vending machines nearby. We stayed in room 5 and really liked it. It was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, plus a separate Japanese-style room where we could lay out futons. The private onsen was lovely, and the front desk lends yukatas, which added to the experience. Even with the distance from shops and the limited buses, I'd recommend le nessa jogasaki. It's quiet, has good amenities and kind staff, and the station shuttle was really useful without a car.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the price felt like great value for this area. Our Japanese-style villa had lots of room and a kitchen for making meals. There was also an onsen-style bath in the bathroom, though it looked quite dated.

The cottage bedroom air conditioning wasn't working in one of the units we stayed in, and we did occasionally find insects indoors. There's a tennis court you can rent and a pool that's free to use. Check-in is at the lobby, which isn't connected to the accommodation. Drive down to the car park beside it first. If your car can fit everyone and all the luggage, it may be easier to leave everything in the car and drive straight over after checking in. The road is pretty narrow if you're driving.

Our room had its own onsen, and it was clean and lovely. We stayed two nights, booked through Rakuten travel, and had a great time. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, though we picked up food at Lawson instead. An oven, electric kettle, and toiletries were provided, and the free Wi-Fi had decent speeds. The hotel is close to the Jogasaki coast but quite far from both Izu Kogen station and jogasaki Kaigan station. Staff offer pickup and drop-off at Izu Kogen station between 9-11 am and 3-5 pm. A taxi from there costs 880 yen. We'd like to come back.
