The room was spacious, and the futons were comfortable. Breakfast and dinner came in good portions and tasted good. What stood out most was the private outdoor onsen, although it had dead bugs and worms floating in it, which I guess can happen. There are some steep steps up to the hotel, so bringing a suitcase may be awkward.

The Western wing rooms have kitchenettes, and there are affordable plans that don't include meals. All rooms come with outdoor baths. Smoking is allowed, though the smell is oddly bearable. The yukatas are cute.

The room had a beautiful view and the food was fresh and locally harvested. I can see this working well for a family with a baby or for a couple. For the four of us, all male college graduates hoping to spend time out in Izu, it didn't really suit us. If you're after more things to do, I'd suggest checking out Shizuoka.

A peaceful, uncrowded place with a nice view. The food was delicious too 😋. It feels like a good spot to get away from the city.

The view was wonderful, and the meals were tasty with some thoughtful touches. The staff were friendly and kind.
