At ¥1,500 for a day visit, this felt like a ridiculous charge when there wasn't even an indoor bath, and nobody mentioned that at reception. I left cold to the bone, waiting in an unheated corridor with no waiting room. I should've brought slippers. The drive is a long one on narrow roads, and the small parking lot is hard to manage, so it may not suit people who aren't comfortable driving. The changing room also felt old. The indoor bath was empty, apparently because of construction, and its door was fixed open to the outside air. It felt like being pushed outdoors naked in midwinter. So I used the outdoor bath instead. It was only 37°C near the spring outlet, and with the air outside at 7°C, I never warmed up even after soaking about 30 minutes downstream from a few other people. I went hoping to enjoy the strong alkaline water, but never got that slippery feel typical of such springs, which made me wonder if the water was really alkaline. It was a bit pricey, though I had gone specifically for the strong alkaline spring.

The baths were a real highlight, especially the private ones just for guests. I could relax and soak for a long time. The food was surprisingly enjoyable too, even though people haven't said much about it. Some reviews were extremely negative, but I didn't have that experience at all. It was quiet, single occupancy was allowed, and I'd say it's a good place for one or two people to unwind. 4.2 stars, a good experience.

It wasn't busy when I visited for a day trip. The price felt a little high, though. The indoor bath was unavailable because of a water shortage, leaving only the open-air bath, which was 38.2°C. You'd need to stay in for a long time, otherwise you'd be too cold getting out. The water has a high pH of 9.2, so it's an alkaline spring, but it didn't feel very viscous. At that temperature, winter could be cold, so summer might be a better time to go.

It was quiet and we could relax, but the water was lukewarm and a day visit at 1,500 yen felt expensive. I don't know about the rooms. As of late January 2026, the indoor bath was empty because the assembly machine had broken down. There are signs here and there, but the building and parking entrance are hard to spot, and there's no main sign. A P or an arrow at the lot entrance would help. I got lost.
