The website made this onsen hotel look impressive, but staying there felt very different from the Japanese onsen experience I expected. The private onsen smelled bad, and there was no ventilation running. The property also seemed aged, and the room lighting was dim. Service staff were all foreign. In the dining room, there was no real ambience, more like a canteen. The food was poorly presented and unpleasant to eat.

We came in March for our anniversary and loved the surroundings, they were soooo lovely. Having a water dispenser right in the room was handy, and the staff spoke English well, so communication was easy. Highly recommend.

We had a really pleasant stay, with a great location and very good service. A few things could make it easier, though. There was nowhere on the main floor to hang clothes, so a rack by the entrance would help. We also spent a while figuring out the heater because we aren't local, a note explaining the wall switch for the gas would be useful. For guests staying several nights, it might be nice to have a western or meat option alongside the all-fish menu. Still, I highly recommend the place.

The rooms were roomy and lovely, with private rotenburos. It costs a lot, but every Yen felt worth it. Outstanding.
