The hot springs were as pleasant as I remembered, and I had a relaxing time. This was my second stay, after first coming in December 2018, and I returned for two nights in October 2025. I was glad the landlady remembered me. The meals were still delicious and filling, and the dried scallop snacks they gave me at checkout were tasty. My only complaints were that there was no razor among the amenities and the TV didn’t get BS reception. I’d love to come back.
I wanted a nearby hot spring where I could unwind, and good reviews led me to Yamasen. I stayed one night and, just as people had said, the hot springs were pleasant. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and filling. I also went to the nearby Toi Gold Mine and got to rest for a while. I do wonder whether the low price leaves enough room to provide satisfactory service.
I come here on my own every year when I travel. The kotatsu in the room makes it such a relaxing place to stay. I love the landlady's adorable personality, too. There are three baths, and my favorite is the handmade-looking open-air one. The meals are so good and generous that I couldn't finish everything, but I was completely satisfied.
The food is tasty and there's plenty of it, and the hot springs are open around the clock. It's a wonderful inn, and you can even see YAKISHIMA's autograph!
The landlady is so nice, and you can use the hot springs whenever you like. For 8400 yen, including tax and two meals, you get this much sashimi! I'll be back.
