Bellevue Garden Hotel Kansai International Airport

This is our third visit, and the location is hard to beat. There's a supermarket across the street with all kinds of things, from fresh pastries to meat and sushi. A 711 next to it has the great sandwiches and musubi you'd expect in Japan, plus a pretty decent latte. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices. Housekeeping comes daily, or, if you prefer not to have anyone enter your room like my wife does, they leave fresh towels, water, and amenities in a package outside the door. Outstanding service!

We had a pleasant stay in a clean room with good service. The rooms are larger than usual, with a lounge chair and a nice clear view. The hotel feels a bit dated, and there's no laundry or combini, though the town has those nearby. The shuttle mostly runs in the morning, and the 11am one also drops passengers at rinku town.

A large Food Co-op across the street stays open until 10pm. The quiet hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Izumisano station, and its shuttle to Kansai Airport starts as early as 5.30am. For a spectacular sunset, ask for a west-facing room on a higher floor.

The staff member who checked us in was one of the best front desk people I've met: professional, very polite, had our reservation ready, and spoke amazing English. The room was very clean, though small for three people. It was okay for one night. Osaka airport shut at midnight, leaving us stuck with a taxi fare of $300 CAD to our booked hotel. We booked this place the same day through Agoda at a decent price, and the taxi ride was about 5700 yen. I gave it three stars because the wifi was very slow and blocked lots of websites and apps. We needed to join an online meeting in the morning and couldn't access it.
