The food was really nice, with Kyoto delicacies, and the chef's special dishes were delicious and beautiful to look at. Staff were kind and accommodating, too. We booked the cheapest room, but it was still large, clean, and nice. The garden visible from it was small, with a little Carp fish pond, but lovely.

We stayed in an older, cheaper building, and the floorboards creaked enough to be a little concerning. Still, I'd like to go back. The price is a bit high, but the Kyoto-style kaiseki was both delicious and lovely to look at, and we had a really enjoyable family meal. The hot spring facilities were clean and well lit, and the service was attentive. I think it's a great inn.
