The peaceful atmosphere and high quality made this the most satisfying hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan, and my first visit to Kaga prefecture. The architecture and people gave me an authentic feeling of Japan, and the dinner service was really professional from the moment we arrived. The onsen was amazing, both indoors and outdoors. Thanks for a relaxing, revitalizing stay we’ll remember and tell friends and family about.

Caution I paid 300 USD a night and got a room next to the restaurant and its toilet. There was no privacy at all. They even had to put stickers on the window so restaurant diners couldn’t see me using the onsen. With the restaurant window only 10 meters away once mine is open, I couldn’t open it and enjoy the view. In that case, why not just pay 400 yen for the public bath outside? The worst part was that the room sat directly above the hotel heating system, which was loud all day and night. The toilet also had a very strong sewage smell. Charging this much for a room like that is absolutely wrong. I don’t know if I was given it because I’m a foreigner. Any hotel would use this room for storage, not guests. It ruined my holiday. Compare my pictures with the ones the hotel puts online and you’ll see what I mean. It’s easy to say thanks for the feedback and promise an investigation. You know what kind of room you gave your customer, there’s no excuse. Please stay away from this hotel property.
