Yoshidaya Sannokaku

We spent two nights at Yoshidaya Sannoukaku Yoshidaya Sannoukaku from 19 March 2026 for our anniversary. Parking was valet, and the lobby offered complimentary fruit juice and coffee at check-in. It would be nice if adults could also get sake, sparkling wine, or beer, perhaps from 6 to 10 pm. Room 506 had a fantastic outdoor onsen in a round ceramic tub, just right for two. The public baths were great too, with hot and cold baths, outdoor onsen, and saunas for both men and women on levels 3 and 1. They switch over at certain times, and the level 3 sauna was especially huge and spacious. We really enjoyed the Japanese ryokan experience and the onsen. Dinner on the first night was kaiseki with sashimi and beef steak, about 8-10 courses from appetizer to dessert, and just right for us. The second night was beef sukiyaki. Both dinners were in a quiet, private partition at Nogomi. We asked about bringing our own sake and were declined corkage. That disappointed us because the dinner sake selection was limited. We hoped we could bring our own bottle without a fee, or pay one like at many ryokan, around ¥1500-2000 for 720 ml. Please consider this for future stays. Breakfast was a buffet with the same selection each day. The local dishes were delicious, especially the chef’s live Tamago-yaki station. We enjoyed freshly made Tamago-yaki every morning, though it would be nice to have some variety each day. Nearby places to visit include NNSI, Natadera temple, and Hokuriku Kaga OnsenkyoYunokuni no onsen village. We had a lovely surprise for our anniversary, a picture frame of us to keep. We’re grateful for the kind gesture and the warm hospitality. It was a memorable stay.
