We had room 408, a Japanese-style room, during our school trip to Aqua Garden Hotel Fukumaru. Sakurajima wasn't visible from inside, but once we stepped outside it looked beautiful 🌸🏝

Whenever I'm in Kagoshima City, I stay here. It's near the Tanegashima Yakutaka Trail, and the food is filling and satisfying.

We spent a summer evening with friends at the rooftop beer garden at Aqua Garden Hotel Fukamaru, including a birthday celebration. The beer was good, and we had a great time chatting together. It's also a nice-looking spot for photos and seemed well suited to a large group. Getting there was easy thanks to the big Aqua Garden Hotel Fukamaru sign. We followed the directions from the entrance and took the outdoor elevator up to the rooftop, where it felt open and airy. Sakurajima was right in front of us. At sunset the sky changed colors, and after dark the city lights made the view feel romantic. The lanterns added a festive touch. If you're looking for a beer garden in Kagoshima and want a great view, I'd recommend it.
