The building is older, but the room was well kept, clean, and comfortable. Parking was convenient at 1,000 yen a night. There was also a coin laundry on-site, with washing at 200 yen and drying at 100 yen, which helped during our stay. A pleasant, practical place to stay.

The view of Sakurajima was great, and there was parking for 1000¥. The one issue was the noise from housekeeping outside my room around 830am while I was still asleep. Without that, it would've been perfect.

The room was spacious and clean, though it had an older style, and breakfast was good. The hotel is about a 35-45 minute bus ride south of the city centre, but the seaview of Sakurajima Volcano, Japan's most active volcano, is super good.

I stayed in a smoking room. The hotel is old but well maintained, and faces the volcano mountain, so you can get good views of both sunrise and sunset. There isn't a USB charging point.

Sakurajima looks great from here, but my room was very dusty, especially the bedside lamp, and the hallway smelled strongly of cigarettes. Getting around without a car wasn't convenient: it's far from major train stations, and public transport with luggage is difficult.
