Smi:re Stay Oshiage

Our kids loved the big room, and we’d definitely stay here again on our next Tokyo trip. It’s family friendly, with a washer in the room, and the location is excellent, right by the subway and next to Skytree.

The location made everything easy: about a five minute walk to the train station, Tokyo Solamachi shopping centre, and Tokyo Skytree. There’s also a Family Mart and 7-11 just around the corner. The staff were quick to answer questions and lovely to spend time with at the bar downstairs. We loved the apartment. The online photos matched what we found, a clean, fresh, modern space with WiFi, a lift, simple kitchen equipment, and a washing machine with one load of laundry liquid included. There was plenty of storage and a clothes rack too. We were there with our one and three year old, who had a great time going up and down the steps in the open plan loft living and sleeping area. We’re sure to come back with more of our family.

The room was small, as I expected in Tokyo, and the toilet and bathroom were separate. There’s a washer in the room, but you need to hang clothes up to dry. The little bar downstairs wasn’t noisy. Staff are there from 3 pm to 11 pm.

Though the location can seem a little out of the way, the subway is close and makes the city centre easy to reach. Tokyo skytree is nearby too. The place was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and despite the small size I never felt cramped. Laundry was easy, and there are plenty of good restaurants and combini nearby for breakfast or dinner. I’d gladly stay again next time I’m in Tokyo.
