We went to Kamakura hoping to stay overnight and avoid the day-trip crowds, and liked this traditional house so much that we stayed two nights. It’s a five-minute walk from Kamakura Hase station via the lovely Enoden line, and the ride itself is part of the fun. The owners were sweet and quick to answer questions, and we felt welcome. In the evenings they run a little bar with Japanese sake, whisky, simple meals and sweets. The house is cozy, renovated with modern facilities while still feeling warm and simple. We had a very good traditional Japanese breakfast, delivered at the time we chose. They also offered bike rental, which made it easy to get between places of interest without relying on buses. The house book was full of useful details about restaurants and places to visit. It rained a lot while we were there, but we were happy to use the weather as an excuse to enjoy the house 😋. I’d absolutely stay again. It felt like a few days outside of time. Thank you so much ☺️

The neighborhood was very quiet, and the house felt like an authentic Japanese home. It was only a three-minute walk from the ocean, and having a laundry machine was a real plus.

The breakfast was really good, so make sure you add it. The beds were very comfortable, and the location is perfect. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Really good food, and the atmosphere is so calm and zen. If you want an authentic Japanese experience, this is a lovely place to go.

The location was amazing, just a three-minute walk to the beach and about 10-15 minutes on foot to Hasadera and the great Buddha of Kamakura. The house itself is beautiful, in a traditional Japanese style, with large, spacious rooms that feel cozy and simple. We loved staying here and wished we could have had one more day. I’d highly recommend it.
