Breakfast comes in either Japanese or Western style. I chose the Western hot sandwich, which was filling and delicious. The building was clean, the owner’s service was good, and the bathroom and hot bath were fine. I was there for one night on a work trip. The hotel sits on a slope, so watch out for it after dark or you might pass it, though there’s not much traffic and it’s manageable. Next time I’d like to stay for personal reasons.

It’s a comfortable spot for adult getaways, with both Western and Japanese-style rooms, a large public hot spring bath, and a spacious shared area with a BBQ space. The rooms range from private ones for one or two people to Japanese-style rooms for larger groups. The place is upriver from central Kasumi. You can bring your own BBQ supplies, and buying them at a supermarket in Kasumi makes it quite affordable.

The beds were really comfortable, and the resort’s large public bath was great, even though there’s also a hot spring nearby. We had a perfect vacation with our two kids, barbecuing and swimming in the sea. The staff were incredibly kind and let us use the kitchen to get ready for the BBQ. Breakfast hot sandwiches were generous. My older son has an egg allergy, so he had a chocolate sandwich. We could also set off fireworks and play darts.

They provided bath towels and loungewear, which I really appreciated. I ordered the 1,000 yen hot sandwich breakfast set. It can be ordered on the day. I was touring by motorcycle and contacted them in a panic before 6 PM because I had nowhere to stay that night. They were very accommodating, thank you. Getting to the parking lot meant climbing a steep, sharp incline on my bike, which was a challenge. Dinner BBQ needs to be reserved ahead. Since I booked on the day, I bought snacks at a nearby roadside station, but they weren’t enough, so I got frozen pasta and instant noodles. The vending machines had beer, highballs, and Lemondo. I got a Corona beer while there. They take cash and cashless payments such as PayPay.
