The Japanese breakfast was generous and delicious, made with local products, and changed from day to day. Dinner was excellent too. This is a warm, soothing ryokan, and we really appreciated our stay. There’s tea tasting at the end of the day and liqueur tasting in the evening, plus a billiards table. The staff were excellent and very helpful when we ran into a problem. We needed to call someone who didn’t speak English, and the man at reception translated for us and really saved us.

After its revamp, this onsen ryokan is open again! The owner and staff are super friendly and greet guests with very genuine smiles. They also speak really good English. The hotel is set up to offer a zen, meditative experience with Japanese traditions to enjoy. One of the best onsen ryokan I’ve stayed at in Japan. I loved it and rate it highly.

We had an awesome stay at this traditional Japanese hotel. The staff were amazing, and breakfast was delicious. Thanks for having us! The beds are futons on tatami mats.

It was satisfactory, and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly good. The main downside was having to lay out my own futon.
