The carpet in the room was the only thing I didn't like. The bathroom and sleeping area were both small, but fine for me, and the usual amenities were there, including the provided pajamas. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and some spoke a little English. Breakfast was delicious, with Asian and Western food. The Onsen at the top of the building was good and free for hotel guests. I have tattoos, so I covered them with plasters because the hotel policy says people with tattoos may be refused. There are lots of shops nearby. I'd definitely come again.

The room was the smallest I've stayed in in Japan. It might work for one person, but not two. Still, the service was very good, and although they say they only hold luggage after checkout, they kept ours before the 15:00 check-in time too. You can walk to lots of places from here, including the castle ruins, Kenrokuen Gardens, Naga-machi, and Omicho market. Three stars for a three-star rated hotel.

There was a big miscommunication with the staff, and they were very unaccommodating. I called to ask if I could use the onsen with tattoos and was told yes. After taking a taxi there, I arrived and was told no.

The room was very clean, and the location was great for shopping and restaurants, with quick bus access for exploring. But compared with most other Apa hotels I've stayed at, this one was disappointing. The rooms and bathrooms are very small for the price, and customer service is below standard. The hotel coffee shop also refused to let us use a cup without explaining why. I'd stay here only if I had no other options.

There’s a Starbucks-like cafe in the lobby with decent coffee and nice sandwiches. The room was very small, though otherwise lovely, and the AC wasn't working, so it got too hot. Tattoos aren't allowed in the hot springs.
