Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the central location made a handy base for exploring the city. I had two disappointments. I arrived before check-in and left my suitcase at the hotel, then later a male reception staff member brought it out for me. He didn’t offer to take it up to my room. At another hotel in a different city on the same trip, my bag was brought to my room without me asking. The other issue may not be the hotel’s fault: the male public bath looked a bit dirty, and I saw a white foamy substance on the water that looked like soap, shampoo, or hair product residue. When I went to get my slippers after bathing, someone had taken mine. It was a shame that some guests were so inconsiderate.

The breakfast was delicious, and everyone at the first-floor restaurant was so kind. Ota-san always took such good care of my dad and me when we came in, so please pass along my thanks to him. We also had a really comfortable room with a great view, and the public bath was amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The location worked really well for us: the bus stop is right outside, the gardens are close, and Kanazawa station is about a 15-minute walk away. Our room was clean and a good size, and check-in was excellent. Breakfast had plenty of choice and something for everyone. We had a very comfortable stay.

We were full every time we ate at the hotel restaurant, and the food was delicious. The onsen was excellent and so relaxing, and our room was a really good size. It was also a great base for sightseeing around Kanazawa, with warm hospitality throughout. We had a wonderful time and would stay with this hotel chain again.
