Being next to Kanazawa Station made it easy to get around and find places to eat, including the station itself and the upper floors of nearby malls. Our room was clean and roomy, about 312 sqft, with a bathtub, fridge, coffee and tea machine, and handy plugs and light controls beside the bed. You can choose daily cleaning or just have fresh towels brought up. The breakfast buffet looked good, but we prefer eating locally, or grabbing the great egg sandwiches and other goodies at the 7-11 in the Station. We'd stay here again next time we're back in Kanazawa.

The bathroom feels pretty old, though the water pressure was okay 👌🏻. The room was spacious, the location was great, and the price was decent. The buffet looked tempting, so I'd like to try it on another visit.

The breakfasts were the highlight for me, probably the tastiest I've had in Japan. Everything was fresh and made with great flavor. We stayed at nine different hotels, and Kanazawa Hotel was one we really enjoyed, with big rooms, good service, and a handy spot near the rail station and shopping mall. Even as a 3-star hotel, it had what we needed: an electric kettle, coffee maker, mini fridge, and two free bottles of water each day. Arigato Guzeimas!

The rooms were huge by Japanese standards, and came with two good pillows. We liked the yukatas so much we bought them. Staff were friendly, and speaking English was no problem. There's also a cash exchange machine in the lobby, which was handy. The hotel is right beside the station and a proper mall with good food choices, so it's very convenient. I'm not sure why its average rating isn't higher. We'd definitely come back.

The room we got had an emergency call button, and it looked a bit spooky. My husband didn't sleep well, and those extra buttons made the stay feel stressful. I know the hotel isn't new, but the photos on Booking.com looked comfortable and nice, while the actual room didn't.
