Hotel Torifito Kanazawa

Breakfast was generous, and I enjoyed the local specialties, including nodoguro, Kanazawa curry, jibuni, and oden. The plates were Kutani ware, which was a nice touch. I did wish they'd had bananas alongside the pineapple, oranges, and lychee. The room had enough space for my luggage, and the bed and pillows felt just right. There were plenty of hangers, and the couch under the window made good use of the space and helped the room feel larger. The lighting was a bit dim, though, and the bathroom door opened toward you, making the entrance feel cramped. They provided free tea packets, but I would've preferred coffee. Some staff spoke English, and I tried practicing my Japanese with them too 😅. They handled my request to send my luggage to Tokyo impressively: the forms were already filled out when I handed it over, and I only had to pay by credit card. It was my first time using a public bath, and it was clean, with plenty of lockers and showers. The hotel is within walking distance of Kanazawa Station, but in the often rainy weather there aren't covered street-level paths. You can use the underground route from the station up to the Hotel Nikko lobby, behind Hotel Torifito.

The breakfast was a highlight, with local Kanazawa specialties such as Kaga vegetables, miso soup, grilled fish, and Japanese sweets. The dining room was bright, with large windows and a clean, welcoming feel. The lounge also had free welcome drinks, including Kaga roasted tea, from 3-7 PM. HOTEL TORIFITO KANAZAWA (Hotel･Torifito Kanazawa) is a stylish mid-range hotel about a 5-7-minute walk from Kanazawa Station. Its minimalist design and thoughtful amenities make it a convenient base for visiting Kenrokuen Garden, Omicho Market, and Higashi Chaya District. It offers clean, modern rooms and a relaxing public bath, and seems suited to both leisure and business travelers. It felt like a smart, affordable choice for comfort and convenience without a luxury price tag.

The room layout worked well, with a sliding door separating the toilet from the bedding area. After a long day walking around Kanazawa, the hot water spa was a good way to unwind. The hotel isn't far from Kanazawa station, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Our twin room was clean and spacious, with a small sofa and table between the beds that was really convenient. The staff were very pleasant, and the hotel is in a handy spot in Kanazawa, about a 10-minute walk from the station. I'd definitely stay again.
