Shuji was especially kind and attentive during my stay a couple of months ago. He took care of the details and even drove me to the train station in the rain so I wouldn’t have to make my own way there. Guesthouse Stella is small, as is typical in Japan, but clean and well maintained. I’d recommend it if you want a place just a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Kanazawa’s Geisha district.

We only spent one day in Kanazawa and stayed at Stella guesthouse. It was cozy, spotless, and in a fantastic location. Shuji San was incredibly kind and helpful: he shared local information, suggested lovely restaurants and cafes, and kept an eye on our trains to Osaka for the next day. Heavy snow meant there could be cancellations or delays. We’d definitely return to enjoy more of Shuji San’s hospitality.

The rooms were spotless, as were the shared bathroom, toilets, and other common areas. Mr. Shuji, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and helped us plan our days. He even drove us to the main station. A very clean guesthouse with a truly kind and helpful host. 10/10, please stay here.

The location was perfect, and the rooms were clean. There’s a nice little kitchen where you can hang out, and the host was friendly and gave us tips and recommendations. Couldn’t ask for more.

My room at Stella in Kanazawa was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed to be comfortable. What made my stay special, though, was Mr. Shuji-san. He welcomed me warmly and was kind and attentive from the start. He shared useful local tips, made great conversation, and clearly cares about his guests and loves sharing Kanazawa. Thanks to his help, my time in the city was smooth and memorable. Stella has real heart and personality, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a guesthouse in Kanazawa. Thank you again, Shuji-san! 🙏✨
