Private Hotel SHIKI

The bath was roomy, and there was both a hair dryer and a hair iron. We stayed in a large first-floor room. It had three beds, but the four of us on a girls’ trip slept comfortably on futons on the raised tatami area. It would also work well for families with children. We checked in at the hotel in front of Kanazawa Station, where they could store our luggage, so we could head out sightseeing without a hitch. We’ll definitely stay again when we visit Kanazawa.

We liked how easy it was to walk to Kanazawa Station, less than 10 minutes away. Even in heavy rain, the walk was manageable, and we could bring food from the station back to eat in the room, which helped when going out to eat with a child was difficult. The 35㎡ deluxe room was just right for me, my wife, and our son, who had just turned 3. The table on the raised tatami area was handy with him, and the bathroom dryer and washing machine let us wash and dry clothes overnight, so we could pack less. The day before arrival, they called to confirm the bed arrangement we’d requested. That thoughtful touch left a very good impression. On arrival, we checked in at Hotel Kanazawa and got an entry code. It was raining, but we could park at Hotel Kanazawa before moving the car to a coin-operated lot near Private Hotel Shiki no Irodori. At 600 yen per day, parking was very affordable. The building is apartment-style, and the room was clean with a Japanese feel, seemingly designed with international guests in mind. The keyless code was convenient, and it felt reassuring to save or photograph it on my phone. The price felt well balanced with the facilities and service. We had a very pleasant stay, and I’d consider it for our next trip to Kanazawa.

There was plenty of space to relax, and everything was very clean. The bath was roomy and there were lots of amenities. I’d happily stay again.

The value was so good that I’d definitely recommend it. I could use the money I saved to treat myself to luxurious meals, so I was very satisfied. It’s within walking distance of the station, though a little far and possibly inconvenient in the rain. I’ve only stayed in private lodgings that felt like regular apartments before, so I was surprised by how beautifully decorated the entrance was. Just seeing it made me happy. The room was clean too, and I had a comfortable stay.
