Shaq Bighouse - Hostel

I didn't stay overnight, but I stopped by for drinks on two nights in a row. Shaq's a great host, easygoing and fun. I'd absolutely recommend a visit.

The hostel is easy to get to and has a lovely family feel. You can spend the evening laughing and chatting with the owner and other guests at the bar. The owner is warm and welcoming, and makes you feel at home straight away, like an old friend. Highly recommended, Shaq will win you over!

The drinks were fairly priced, and there was no push to order more. The food menu had generous portions, too. I enjoyed chatting with the hostel guests and getting a glimpse of their travels. I came across Shaq's place near where I was staying while looking for somewhere welcoming to tourists and foreigners. As soon as I walked in, he made me feel at home and we had a good yarn about where I'd come from. His stories about fate and chance were a pretty cool reminder to look for the silver lining. I'll have to come back for another bevvy with Shaq.

It's really close to the station, and there's a bar in the hostel. Shaq has great recommendations and takes good care of you. Meeting him made the trip feel like a really positive experience, and it's easy to socialize here. Amazing place to stay!
