Free parking was a welcome bonus, and the room was just the right size, thoughtfully laid out, and equipped with what I needed, including a washing machine and microwave. The Balmuda microwave was a standout, stylish and practical, and bigger than any I'd seen before. For a hotel with no staff on site, the self check-in was surprisingly easy: enter the main entrance password, which arrives well before the stay after booking is confirmed, then follow the tablet's clear directions for your room number and passcode. It was intuitive and stress-free. A great option if you value privacy, efficiency, and smart design.

The self check-in uses passwords throughout. The room was tidy and clean, with space used well.
8/10
The place was spacious, with big rooms and bathrooms, and we were surprised by how good the appliances were for the price. Our family of four all wanted to stay again. We were initially a little unsure about having no staff on site, but the clear manual made everything go smoothly. Even with our busy schedule, our middle and high school-aged kids could relax with the large TV and projector. I only wish there had been towel racks in the toilet and kitchen.
10/10
The price is affordable, but the facilities feel anything but. It was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of parking, and the quiet location was still convenient for getting around. I checked in by video call, and the staff were friendly and quick. I'll make this my first choice next time I'm in Karatsu.
