The room was on the small side, but the hotel is fantastic and well located. I loved the free pajamas, which had a simple style with a bit of flair. Their free rental coat was so nice I was tempted to buy one.

We stayed one night. There’s only room for two stools, no table, so it’s hard to use a laptop here. That’s why I wondered about all the open space on the ground floor. The tub came in handy for a soak after a long day out, especially when I was too tired to take the shuttle to the Onsen.

A basic Hoshino hotel with a nice look and self-service setup. It has the same room design as Omo3 Otsuka. The neighborhood is quiet and very close to karuizawa Bird sanctuary. I enjoyed walking around the area, and you can’t really go wrong staying here.

We stayed two nights. The hotel has a good vibe, is clean, and has a nice public area. It’s close to the Hoshino Area, where you can explore the onsen and other attractions. Getting to Karuizawa station or the Outlet isn’t walkable. There are buses, but they don’t come often, so I mostly relied on taxis. Nearby meal options are limited. The beds were comfortable, though the room felt cramped. I hit my head a few times.

A clean, comfortable place. There’s a 7 eleven right outside, and a shuttle comes every 10 minutes to take you around the various hoshino facilities.
