We chose the "Momiji," a cozy cabin with two bedrooms and two single beds in each room upstairs. Karuizawa Sunny Village has several charming log houses of different ages, and the owner lives in a nearby house. We stayed for two nights in mid-December and I wanted to leave a review since there weren't many online. A lovely bonus was the rock bath in the owner's main house. I really enjoyed it and even had it to myself since it wasn't busy. The rest of my family used the shower in our unit. You'll need a car to get around, though the outlet mall is close by. The owner was very friendly and could manage a little English. They also told us they're building a couple of single-storey units across the road, each with room for three bedrooms. It was a peaceful, cozy stay, highly recommended.

The owner was warm and very polite, and I'd be glad to stay here again. We had a great location for enjoying Karuizawa, and the log house seemed renovated, so I didn't notice the musty smell mentioned in some reviews. There were seasonal insects indoors. They didn't bother me much, and mosquito mats were provided, but other bugs were around too. If insects are a concern for you, keep that in mind before booking.

We rented the whole log cabin for a family day, and the view of the golf course through the window was spectacular. The wood gave the place a warm feel, and the cabin was spacious and lovely. The toilet, sink, and bath were all incredibly clean. The kitchen had a microwave and toaster, so we were comfortable there. Thanks to all the kind, lovely staff. We'd love to return! ♪

JAN/17~21 We could unwind in the hot springs after skiing, open from 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM. The accommodation was about a 10-minute walk from Prince Hotel Ski Resort, which made getting to the slopes easy. The cabins were clean, warm, and had their own duplex space, with excellent heating so we didn't have to worry about getting cold. The kitchen was really well equipped, with a rice cooker, oven, microwave, gas stove, and tableware. The nearby supermarket was about a 20-minute walk away, so we could pick up groceries and cook.
