A lovely cottage with a nice owner.

This rental villa is run by a couple. It's a charming, two-story log house with all the essentials. We were there in winter, so we didn't try it, but apparently you can barbecue on the deck. When we left, they even gave us Nozawana pickles as a little gift. We'll definitely stay here again when we come to Karuizawa.

The owner is kind, and the cottage is lovely. For an extra 2,000 yen, you can have a BBQ, and they'll even get the fire going for you. Just keep in mind that it's a residential area, so you need to be a little careful outside.
