For someone traveling on business, this wasn’t a good fit. It’s far from Shitomi Station, and the lack of a coin laundry and the inconvenient refrigerator were a real nuisance. It’s in a love hotel district, but I was relieved to see someone at the front desk. 😢

We stayed here on a trip and booked through Rakuten Travel. The place looks and is located just as described. Since lodging choices in Nara are limited, it’s a reasonable option if you can accept fewer features. You can go out during a regular overnight stay. Parking is narrow and awkward to get into, though a small car would fit easily.

We booked two rooms for three people for National Foundation Day, when we were visiting Kashihara Shrine. It would have cost 5,800 yen for one or two people. The hotel sits at the very back of the love hotel district, with no convenience stores or anything much nearby. There wasn’t a vending machine in the room, and the fridge held only one bottle of water. The bathroom was spacious, but the bed wasn’t the king-size I expected, just two singles pushed together.

I nearly booked this for my family. Ja-chan had it listed as a regular business hotel, but the exterior was so unusually pop-art that I Googled the place and learned it was a love hotel. Glad I checked first!
