My room was clean and roomy, with a million-dollar view over the Sea of Japan. The staff were nice, like staff everywhere else in Japan, and their English was enough to make both check-in and check-out easy. What a hidden jem...

The views were incredible, and everything else was perfect. The onsen was a little dirty, though, and breakfast wasn't great. I'd recommend this hotel.

Even in winter, during the off-season, the price was reasonable and the room was spacious. It had its own bath and two sinks, as well as access to the large communal bath. I usually stay at cheap inns, so this felt really relaxing. The room view was amazing. The snowy scenery on the way from Tokyo was lovely too, and I'd like to come back. Summer might be busier, so the atmosphere could be different.
