Dinner and breakfast were generous and really tasty. The place was clean and well cared for, and the staff were friendly and attentive to little details, which made the stay comfortable.

The food was good, and the service at this small Ryokan felt warm and friendly. I was a little let down by the hot spring.

I found this place while heading to Toyama Prefecture. It was a pity to miss the sunset, but the staff were friendly, and the landlady came around to greet guests in their rooms. You could tell they cared about looking after people. Dinner was excellent, especially the boat-shaped platter. I hadn't had sashimi that good in a while. I do think they could serve smaller portions of the fried food and meat, since they seem so focused on quality. Breakfast was disappointing for me: onsen egg, seasoned seaweed, yudofu, and grilled horse mackerel weren't what I wanted. If they kept the strong dinner and improved breakfast a bit, perhaps by adding some Western-style flavors, people would see this as the best lodging for its price. It was expensive, but the food was great. With a few improvements, it could be a place people recommend as worth the cost. And with such a lovely view, it's a shame there's no open-air bath.
