Toyoko Inn Kawasaki Station Shiyakusho Dori

Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel is handy for both JR&KEIKYU Kawasaki station, with convenience stores right next door. There’s also a shopping street within walking distance, full of places to eat, including Ramen shops. The room wasn’t new, but it was clean, and I could use Wi-Fi for an online meeting. I could faintly hear noise from the room next door, though. There are no stairs, and the elevators get crowded, so getting to breakfast can take a while.

I stayed here about a year ago and found the rooms clean, tidy, and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, too. Most of all, the reception staff and team were smiling and did their best to help us. Thank you very much.

The location was fine, with everything about a block away, and the room was okay. The bed was bigger than beds in other hotels, but there weren’t enough pillows for three people, and the ones provided were terribly flat. At night I found the air conditioner noise annoying as it shifted and changed temperature. The first day’s service was terrible: reception helped us partway, then went off to assist another guest, and a few minutes later handed us over to another coworker. That was really annoying.

I’ve stayed at Toyoko Inn for years, sometimes for weeks during medical exams or just to relax when my husband was posted overseas. We still choose different Toyoko Inn locations around Japan for domestic trips. My one complaint is that I often get a room facing the wall of another building. Why can’t they give regular guests a better room?
