Kiri No Kahori Sakura

At Kiri No Kahori Sakura, we found the room and location every bit as good as we'd hoped, with lovely views out to sea. The food was spectacular, and the staff gave us perfect service with such warmth. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Saikou desu, and see you later alligator!

The room had a traditional look with modern electronics, and the balcony faced the ocean beside an amazing in-room onsen. The staff team were welcoming and helpful. I’d love to come back and stay for more nights 😌

The food was a real highlight, with beautifully presented meals full of authentic Japanese flavors. From the balcony, we could take in the bay, and the beach was only a short walk away. Kiri No Kahori Sakura also felt like a lovely place to experience traditional Japan. The rooms had classic Japanese design, careful details, and a calm, elegant feel. Staff were sincerely kind and attentive, and made sure guests felt looked after. I travel often and have stayed in hotels around the world, but this one stands out. It was an unforgettable stay, and I give it my highest rating.

We were welcomed with drinks and snacks as soon as we arrived, and Akira san, the cheerful, funny manager, made the stay even more memorable. His English isn't very fluent, but he was still helpful. The meals were delicious, and the service was top notch. The ryokan is small and beautiful, with cosy rooms perched on a cliff above the sakura blooms and sea views. Our room was comfortable and had its own spring bath. You can book the private onsen too, which has two massage chairs. There are enough parking spaces if you're driving, and the train station, Imaihama-Kaigen, is right next door for trips from Tokyo. Kawazu is my favourite spot for early cherry blossoms, from the end of February to mid March. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit. Thank you, Akira san and everyone at Kiri Kahori Sakura.
