Citadines Namba Osaka

The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the hospitality was great. But being on the fifth floor near the children's room, with such thin walls, wrecked my sleep. We stayed four nights and I only slept well on two. If you're a light sleeper or don't have earplugs, I wouldn't recommend it.

We stayed for two nights in June 2026, and although the location was convenient, the air conditioning in our fourth-floor rooms never worked. We told the front desk, and maintenance said it was an air filter issue and assured us they'd resolve it. They never did. The rooms stayed uncomfortably warm, even hotter than the shared areas and corridors. That’s unacceptable, especially in the warmer months, and based on our stay I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

I dreaded staying here. The bathrooms smelled like urine and feces, and when I asked to change rooms, every other one had the same smell or worse. The toilets weren't properly cleaned either. I pointed out pubic hairs around the toilet seat hinge to the supervising manager, who said there were too many toilets in that area of the hotel to clean them properly. It made me wonder what else was being missed. The carpet under the table was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly or recently. There were stains on the desk and in random spots around the room, and dust everywhere. I appreciate that they tried to accommodate me, but this hotel is gross. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Great setup for families with babies and small kids. They have cribs and bed bumpers for co-sleeping, plus an indoor playground where even our nine-month-old had a blast. It's a nice place for kids to play on the floor after a long sightseeing day or burn off energy before dinner. Not many hotels in the area offer that. The staff were friendly and professional, everything was very clean, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. The location worked well too, within five minutes of Kuromon Market and the downtown area around Dotonbori, with Namba Station about five to seven minutes away. That's a big help when you're travelling with kids. Luggage transfer to and from the airport was a game changer for us. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back.
