The staff were nice and helpful.

The food was a real highlight. Both dinner, with the New Year’s menu and year-end soba, and breakfast, with an osechi-style course and white miso ozoni, were generous portions of carefully prepared local ingredients. The flavors were gentle and nourishing. I was also curious about the usual game dishes, like botan hot pot. We stayed over New Year’s Eve before heading to Koyasan for hatsumode the next day. The staff were hospitable, and the small bath was lovely for a long soak, warming me right through. The listing says its metasilicic acid level falls short of the standard for it to officially be called a hot spring, but it felt more like a real hot spring to me than places that dilute and circulate the water poorly. There are lots of retro old motorcycles inside, apparently the owner’s hobby. Nearby there seems to be an observatory, and the stars looked beautiful at night. The inn sits beside a clear stream and riverbank, which looked like a nice place for playing in the water in summer. We arrived after dark and thought the parking near the entrance might be full, but there was another small parking area for guests up the slope beside the inn. When we checked out on January 1, they were pounding mochi outside, and we got to enjoy some freshly made. Thanks for such a relaxing stay.

The bath water runs a little warm, which made it easy to relax and unwind, and there’s an open-air bath too. The place was very clean. I also liked how kind and helpful the reception staff were. Vintage cars and motorcycles decorate the facility, and there’s a restaurant where you can eat after your bath. There’s a YouTube video about the place if you search for "Yori Tabi." I found it a really relaxing hot spring and would recommend it.

The staff were so kind. Since there aren’t any shops nearby, I ended up riding my motorcycle to Kainan at night, and they gave me some oranges. That really warmed my heart. I’d arrived on the bike in the rain, and they didn’t seem bothered at all. They even lent me plenty of towels, which helped a lot. My room was clean, and I loved the hot springs. The facilities were clean too, and for the price this is a great value inn. I stayed here before heading to Nosegawa Village the next day to see the sea of clouds. I did get to see it safely, then enjoy sightseeing at Koyasan. If you’re traveling from Wakayama City toward Koyasan, I’d definitely recommend staying here. Thanks so much! 😊

I’d been curious about this place for a while, so I stopped in after a camping trip. It was all really clean and neat, and the water felt soft. The bath is a bit lukewarm, so you can stay in for a long time. I heard the day-use bathing fee is going up from December, but it’s well worth the price. I’ll definitely come back, and next time I’d like to stay overnight 😆
