We fell in love with the owner. Our check-in got a little confusing because we hadn’t received the self check-in instructions, but some Japanese guests helped us. As soon as the owner realized we were having trouble, she came to our room that evening with chocolate and an apology. Then she left us a present the next morning, a professional cartoon drawing of us! 🥹 The apartment itself was amazing, spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed and more. The owner was incredibly kind and caring.

Everything was clean and had a cozy, quaint feel, and we had all we needed. Each day they even brought drinks, fresh towels and blankets, plus toys for the kids without us having to ask. We really loved staying here.

The owner got back to us quickly. The place was roomy and comfortable, and it was clean and cosy.

The kids were delighted by the maisonette layout, and we didn't hear anything from the neighboring buildings. The soundproofing was good. We also liked having a terrace, though it was so hot that we only spent about five minutes there for meals or tea. We stayed for three nights over Obon. The room had no washing machine, so we had to go to a laundromat and come back to hang the clothes up. There were no convenience stores within walking distance either. I wouldn't recommend this building if you like doing laundry every day. It seems to be the only building without a washing machine. There was no trash collection during our stay, so rubbish from cooking and supermarket meals built up in the room. The fan didn't get cool air up to the second floor, which was too hot for sleeping, and we all ended up using the downstairs beds instead. The three parking spaces, one per building, are very small, so getting a rental van in was tricky. The property is right by the road, so you have to watch for traffic when parking or turning around. It's a choice between saving money and having the comfort of a hotel. The villa itself isn't bad, but I didn't find the stay as relaxing as I'd hoped.
