Nozawa Gondola Apartments

The location is phenomenal, and the hosts are superb. It’s literally a four-minute walk to the gondola line. The furnishings are great, the place feels modern, and the shower is wonderfully big. The downsides were somewhat slow internet in apartment 4, where I had to tether for video calls at times, and centrally controlled heating that sometimes meant texting the manager. I’d visit again!

The rooms look beautiful, with a modern feel, and I really love the atmosphere here. Everyone is kind and respectful. I’d come back every day if I could!

There was no professionalism here, and the experience left me deeply disappointed. The owner seemed to be back home in Australia, while manager Akira was supposedly in charge, but he didn’t even come out to handle check-in. Managers aren’t around all the time, so guests are left to do as they please. The room guide is only in English and Japanese, meaning other foreign guests don’t know the rules. They start their stay without any explanation of the shared areas, which leads to arguments with Japanese guests. When I raised this with Akira, he got angry and told me to leave immediately. The owner then emailed me, saying I should leave immediately if I was a racist. I have nothing else to say.

The heating in the main bedroom was too warm and disrupted our sleep every night. Apart from that, everything was amazing. We loved the apartment’s location, the view, its spacious feel and presentation. The welcome breakfast pack was a VERY welcome touch.
