Hotel Royal Garden Kisarazu / Vacation STAY 71705

I really appreciate the way this hotel handled things. They found the small change wallet I’d lost and mailed it to my home. It was a keepsake from my mom, so it meant a lot to get it back. The young guy on the phone was very polite. Domo Arigato. I hope I can visit next year to thank them.

I used to stay at a hotel across the way, but I won’t be going back there. From now on, I’ll stay here. The staff were attentive and friendly, and there’s food available around the clock. There’s also a massage chair in the lounge and several breakfast choices. The location in the city is pretty good. My room was bigger than the one I usually had at the other hotel. People here complain about the room size, but this is a Japanese business hotel, after all. Sorry the menu is upside down!

The breakfast coffee was just so-so, and the soundproofing wasn’t good enough. The toilet also wouldn’t wash your backside.

The French toast at breakfast was quite good. For somewhere inexpensive where you just leave your luggage and sleep, it might be okay, but I wouldn’t stay again. I booked it for work because it was near the station and the exterior and front desk looked nice. The guest rooms, though, were very retro. The lighting was dim enough to make laptop work or reading difficult, and the bathtub and toilet in the unit bathroom were very close together. The lock looked old and worn, and I wondered if it could be picked. As a woman traveling alone, I wouldn’t recommend it. I also really disliked the strong cigarette smell in the non-smoking room.
